THINGS TO CONSIDER…
The size of our ads is unlike those of newspapers or even Channel 6 ads here on the Peninsula. Our billboard features ads that are slightly larger than traditional business card size (thought they look much larger once they’re on the board). Because billboard ads will be viewed by moving vehicles and from at least 10-15ft distances, we use large, bold text to catch a driver’s attention. Please keep the following things in mind when submitting the text for your ad:
- Word limit – 15 to 20 words if you wish to use a logo and/or image with your ad
- 20-25 word limit for text-only ads
- Keep your text simple. Drivers won’t remember an email address, phone number and an address.
- The less words you use, the larger the font size can be. That means your message is easier to read and remember.
Attach any logo’s or artwork you need in an email to sghads@eastlink.ca and we can get your ad running. Ensure your artwork files are a high resolution. We can accept most artwork files with a preference on jpg, png, ai or eps files.
